…ootab oma meeskonda hea keelevaistuga praktikanti.

Avatari põhitegevuseks on kirjaliku ja suulise tõlketeenuse pakkumine: tõlgitakse nii Euroopa Liidu tekste, tehnilisi tekste, juriidilisi ja meditsiinitekste, turundus- ja reklaamtekste. Avatar lähtub põhimõttest, et hea tõlke valmimise nimel tuleb ära teha suur uurimis- ja mõttetöö, mille käigus peab tõlkija jälgima terminoloogiat, kultuurikonteksti, grammatikat aga ka kliendi erisoove.

Praktikakandidaadile on soovitav varasem tõlkimiskogemus. Enne praktikale asumist tuleb sooritada ka test keeletaseme hindamiseks. Praktika on tasustatud ning edukalt praktika läbinut võivad oodata edasised seiklused tõlkemaailmas.

Elektriteater / Koolikino

..ootab praktikale tudengit, kes armastab filmikunsti ja tunneb huvi
kinovaldkonna vastu, soovides ühtlasi arendada oma pedagoogilisi oskusi.

Tartu Elektriteatri all tegutsev Koolikino programm pakub õpetajatele võimalust muuta õppetöö mitmekesisemaks ja tulla koos klassigrupiga osa saama filmikunsti parimatest paladest; õpilastele annab aga võimaluse tutvuda nii filmi väljendusvahendite kui ka filmide poolt vahendatud kultuurilise mitmekesisusega.

Praktikandil on võimalik valida kahe suuna vahel:
 
1) Töö õppematerjalide koostamisel, suhtlus õpilaste ja õpetajatega
 
‒ õpiülesannete väljatöötamine
‒ arutelude juhtimine
‒ filmikataloogi uuendamine / programmi koostamine
 
 2) Kinopubliku sotsiosemiootiline analüüs
 
Soovituslik praktika algusaeg: august / september 2024
kestus 2-3 kuud (täpsemalt kokkuleppel).
Praktika ei ole tasustatud, kuid boonuseks vahva seltskond ja soodustused Elektriteatri kinokülastustel!

Praktika Peemoti keskuses

Possible tasks are:
taking care of the center and the guests from 3 PM till 7 PM;
organizing workshops;
writing, editing and translating texts for social media;
design and illustration.
 
Internship is supervised by Alexandra Milyakina, UT research fellow in semiotics.
 
Behemoth's center's mission is to amplify the voices of LGBT+ people and other marginalized communities (women, immigrants, people with different native languages), by providing opportunities for them to express themselves in a safe space and present and sell their artistic works. We want to create a community center in Tartu, where we will organize regular events to raise society’s awareness of the issues important to minorities, encourage the participation of community members in the development of the center, and create opportunities for people to spend time in Tartu without spending money.

Creating learning materials for Mondo Global Education

Mondo Global Education is offering an opportunity to make learning materials for environmental films and the card game "Climate School". Previous experience in the field of education is not required, the internship is supervised by the Transmedia group of our department under the leadership of Maarja Ojamaa

Creating learning materials for Estonian films and animations

Arkaader is a digital platform created by Estonian Film Institute and National Archive to introduce Estonian film classics.
 
They are offering an opportunity to prepare educational materials for general education schools, which would help to discuss some Estonian films in school lessons. In previous academic years, our students have prepared educational programs for animations by Heino Pars "Jussike's Seven Friends" (https://haridusekraanil.ee/jussike/) and "Is the Earth Round?" by Priit Pärn (https://haridusekraanil.ee/maakera/). The internship does not require previous experience in the field of education and is supervised by Maarja Ojamaa and the Transmedia group. The internship is suitable for BA and MA students and is compensated. The opportunity is opened for all Autumn semester.

Internship with the journal Hortus Semioticus

Positions and tasks:

1.         Assisting journal editor intern
This is a great chance to gain firsthand experience with editorial work and the academic publishing process. Assisting editor interns will monitor 2-3 papers academic papers throughout the editing and publication prosess while under the supervision of an editor.
 
 Assignments include:
* participating in team meetings
* communicating with authors and reviewers while conducting technical editing
* constructive feedback from mentors/supervisor
 
2.         Social media intern
Social media interns are tasked with helping to promote the journal and the blog, and by sharing information about new content. This is an excellent way to gain experience communication information through social media in a professional yet creative way.
 
Assignments include:
* preparing communication strategies and plans for the journal with the editorial team
* creating and posting creative content to social media according to the communication plan
* opportunities for creative freedom with quick feedback from supervisor

3.         Assisting blog editor intern
This is a perfect position for interns interested supporting the works of their fellow students through editing and publishing texts and creative pieces on the Hortus Semioticus blog. Interns can also expect the chance to create their own content.
 
Assignments include:
* creating and editing blog content as organized by your intern supervisor
* opportunities to propose new new forms of content and to express your creativity
* maintain contect with content creators throughout the editing process
 
4.         Web editor intern
Interns interested in the more technological side of maintaining Hortus Semioticus will be expecially interested in editing the journal’s website. Based on the inuitive platform, WordPress, interns can expect to gain practical development knowledge of the platform.
 
Assignments include:
* uploading and editing the journal’s and blog’s content on WordPress
* developing solutions for technical issues
* maintain communication with the blog and journal teams
